Accidentally saw a squirrel resting under an old wild tea tree, holding a tea seed. "Squirrels are picky eaters; they only choose the best seeds." Ms. Qiu, who grew up on a tea plantation, said this. Following the squirrel's tracks, the couple found wild tea trees and began to cultivate their passion for black tea, naming it "Squirrel Black Tea," always ready to leap and share the dedication of the Squirrel couple with more people. Mr. Squirrel recounts that during the Japanese colonial era, Taiwanese tea was famous abroad. In the Yuchi and Puli regions, there were about 1720 hectares of tea trees. However, with the decline of black tea and the outflow of labor, people stopped mass-producing black tea. Mr. Squirrel used to work at the Improvement Station and always lamented why tea of such high quality could be produced in the past. Furthermore, the growing environment for tea trees in Puli, with its natural environment, soil, and water quality, is the same as that for Assam tea trees in India. Therefore, the tea trees grown in this region are excellent. Since such good natural conditions exist, not utilizing them well is a waste of nature's favor. Thus, they decided to save up and research tea-making techniques. Relying on their technical foundation from the Improvement Station and their deep affection for black tea, through continuous improvement and experimentation, they are gradually bringing the black tea industry back to its former glory. "This is not just for ourselves, but so that everyone can rest assured."
