That year, Wang Xian-min, who became well-known for following Su Huan-chih's footsteps in opposing the project and was interviewed on Wu Nien-jen's "Taiwan Nien-chen Ching" program, was originally a fisherman who set up fixed nets (wang gou) in the Qigu Lagoon.
